new addiction and lots of new projects
Dean told me last night that I am never without projects. Seems to be more than ever these days! My new addiction is poring trough the Etsy Treasury and seeing all the cool stuff that is out there. Just looking at all of the colors and patterns keeps my brain inspired and coming up with new ideas! Need to get some of them posted here – hopefully the long New Years weekend will help us get some posts done.

Hi Carrie,
Just discovered your site via a google search for modern needlepoint. I am relatively new to needlepoint, and am wondering what thread you use and where you get it? I have been buying embroidery thread like crazy at the craft store, but would love bigger rolls of the colors I use often rather than buying 20 of the little guys!

Hey Rachel! Glad you found me! I exclusively use Paternayan Persian 3-ply wool yarn. I get my wool from http://www.discountneedlework.com – there are over 400 colors available. I strongly recommend buying their yarn card if you are into some serious wool. I have one and it has been great in finding just the right color that I need. As far as canvas I use 14 count needlepoint canvas for almost everything, it allows for a nice amount of detail. Let me know if you have any other questions!!
