new addiction and lots of new projects

Saturday, December 29th, 2007

Dean told me last night that I am never without projects. Seems to be more than ever these days! My new addiction is poring trough the Etsy Treasury and seeing all the cool stuff that is out there. Just looking at all of the colors and patterns keeps my brain inspired and coming up with new ideas! Need to get some of them posted here – hopefully the long New Years weekend will help us get some posts done.

Etsy shop up and running

Tuesday, December 11th, 2007

Well, it took some doing, but my Etsy shop ModernNeedlepoint is finally up and running. Dean and I had fun getting it all set up this past weekend (well maybe I had more fun) and at the very least I am finally getting my work out there. I am enjoying the designing and stitching and am thankful I have a husband that is a crack photographer. More to come, but for now, back to stitching!

New Pincushion Design

Saturday, December 8th, 2007

Can you tell it does not feel like the holidays here in TX? We have been in the mid-80’s and I am having a hard time coming up with holiday cold-weather designs! Pincushions are what I have been designing lately, I love how they look in my needlework basket but also just sitting and looking pretty on the shelf above my desk in my office. I am trying to figure out some more 3D designs – the butterflies are awesome but take forever to put together.
