Paternayan wool yarn

I have had multiple questions on where I get my wool and what kind I use so I figured a quick post would not hurt! I use Paternayan 3-ply persian wool. I get it at www.discountneedlework.com who offer a great price of $10/quarter pound hank (which is a nice chunk of wool). They have 400+ colors to choose from so anything you can think of, you can probably find.

Thanks Rachel for your visit and I hope you have fun with needlepoint – it is really awesome. There are unfortunately not many designers working on modern non-cutesy patterns, so that is the area that I am concentrating on most. Patterns that look nice in a modern home with an updated look and feel. I am hoping that by developing new modern designs, people will start getting more interested in buying needlepoint and also trying it out themselves, in the same way that knitting and crochet have come back into fashion.

Check back as I am starting work on designs to sell in my Etsy shop.

We are a carpet supply house that has been selling Paternayan Persian 3-ply wool for the last 30 years. We sell a 1/4lb hank for $8.50 and if you buy quantity
(5lbs or more) the cost is $8.00 per skein. Our website is chatalbashrug.com. Thanks Ron

I have been trying to reach Chatalbash Rug Co. on 31st St. in NY where I used to buy Paternayan needlepoint yarn. I understand you have merged with another company but am unable to get a phone number. Please let me know if I can still buy the yarn, and where. Many thanks.
