Hey Rachel! Glad you found me! I exclusively use Paternayan Persian 3-ply wool yarn. I get my wool from www.discountneedlework.com - there are over 400 colors available. I strongly recommend buying their yarn card if you are into some serious wool. I have one and it has been great in finding just the right color that I need. As far as canvas I use 14 count needlepoint canvas for almost everything, it allows for a nice amount of detail. Let me know if you have any other questions!!

Hi Carrie,

Just discovered your site via a google search for modern needlepoint. I am relatively new to needlepoint, and am wondering what thread you use and where you get it? I have been buying embroidery thread like crazy at the craft store, but would love bigger rolls of the colors I use often rather than buying 20 of the little guys!

Thanks,
Rachel in Seattle
